EMU registration open until October 5 for 2026-27 year

If you have a confirmed place at Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU/DAÜ) for 2026-2027, you have until Monday, October 5 to finish registration. This applies to both TRNC citizen students and international students. Students who entered through Turkey's YKS exam are on a separate, already-running track.

Classes for the fall semester start September 21, 2026, so registration is happening after teaching has already begun for some students. If you are still finalizing paperwork, do not assume you can wait until classes start to sort it out.

What to actually do

Registration runs through EMU's online system, or in person at the Student Affairs Office. Once your registration is confirmed, you can also book dorm accommodation through the student portal — worth doing early if you want a specific dorm or room type, since campus housing fills up fast in September.

Rector Hasan Kılıç welcomed the new intake, noting the university's international mix of students from different countries, and said all departments are working to keep the registration process running smoothly.

Why this matters if you are arriving now

A missed deadline can mean a delayed start, delayed residence permit application, or complications with your student visa timeline — all of which are easier to avoid than to fix. If you have not registered yet, do it before October 5, not after.
