What UniNorth collects, and what it doesn’t

UniNorth is built to inform — not to profile, retarget or sell visitor data. This page lists exactly what the site collects, why, and how to reach us about it. Last reviewed 2026-06-04.

What we collect

  • Anonymous page-view analytics via Vercel Analytics. No cookies, no personal identifiers, no cross-site tracking. Vercel aggregates traffic counts per URL and basic device class (mobile vs. desktop, country at the country level).
  • Google Analytics 4 for traffic source and session-flow understanding. EU, UK and EFTA visitors default to Consent Mode v2 denied — no _ga cookie set, no identifier, only an anonymous consentless ping. Everyone else defaults to granted full measurement. Either side can change their state via the consent bar at the bottom of the screen.
  • Error logs via Sentry for technical debugging. Logs contain the URL of the failing page, browser version and a JavaScript stack trace. No form input, no contact info, no user-supplied content is logged.
  • Email correspondence only when you write to us at [email protected]. We reply, archive the thread, and use it to verify any correction you reported. We do not add you to a marketing list.

Cookies

UniNorth sets at most two cookies, neither of them third-party tracking pixels:

  • uninorth_consent — your reply to the consent bar (granted or denied). First-party, 1-year expiry, no cross-site reach. Used to keep the bar from re-appearing on every page.
  • _ga / _ga_* — set by Google Analytics only when you grant analytics consent. Used to keep one session continuous across pages. EU/UK/EFTA visitors never get these unless they click Allow analytics.

To change your choice later, clear the uninorth_consent cookie in your browser settings and reload — the bar reappears and you can pick again.

What we don’t collect

  • No accounts, no login, no passwords. There is nothing to register for on UniNorth.
  • No advertising pixels, no Facebook Pixel, no Google Ads SDK, no retargeting tags.
  • No lead capture forms passed to universities, agents, or any third party. We are not a recruitment platform.

Your rights

Under the EU GDPR and equivalent frameworks you can ask us to confirm what (if anything) we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Because we don’t maintain user profiles, this is in practice limited to any email correspondence you have initiated. Email [email protected]with the subject line “Data request” and we’ll respond within 7 days.
