CIU runs orientation days through 3 October for new students

If you are arriving at Cyprus International University (CIU) for the 2026-2027 Fall Semester, welcome services start now. The university's Student Welcome and Orientation Days run from 11 September to 3 October 2026, organized by the CIU Social Activities and Clubs Coordination Office.

For new arrivals, this means help at the point of entry. CIU staff are meeting new students at Ercan Airport and Kyrenia Port starting 11 September, which can save you the stress of arranging transport on your own for the first trip to campus. The schedule includes a Nicosia City Tour on 25 September, a Student Clubs and International Communities Festival on 28-29 September, canvas handprint painting and outdoor games on 30 September, and a campus tour with an outdoor movie night on 1 October.

The program closes with two events at the Open-Air Performing Arts Center on 2 October: the Color Festival at 7:00 p.m., followed by the Welcome Home Party at 8:00 p.m. DJ Lumos and the Niyal Öztürk Orchestra are both booked to perform. This year's program is run in collaboration with Turkcell.

For students still settling into housing, it is worth pairing orientation week with practical setup: check the dorm directory if you have not locked in accommodation, and look at campus bus schedules once orientation events move off the main campus.
