A degree from a TRNC university is recognised in Uzbekistan through the Diploma Recognition Agency under the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation. Uzbekistan has simplified this process substantially since 2019, and in one important case skips it entirely: diplomas from universities in the QS / THE / ARWU top 1,000 are recognised without nostrification. TRNC universities are not on those lists, so an Uzbekistani graduate should plan on the standard nostrification route rather than the shortcut — worth knowing before you enrol, not after you return home. Uzbekistan was also the first Central Asian country to ratify the Global Convention on the Recognition of Qualifications, which frames how foreign degrees are assessed.

Medicine

Near East University (NEU) holds WFME recognition for its Faculty of Medicine. Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) holds ECFMG and TEPDAD accreditation. Girne American University (GAU) holds a WDOMS directory listing. Clinical practice in Uzbekistan requires a Medical Practice License (Tibbiy Faoliyat Lisenziyasi) from the Ministry of Health after the degree is recognised.

Engineering

Near East University (NEU) holds ENAEE and EUR-ACE labels. Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) and Middle East Technical University Northern Cyprus Campus (METU NCC) hold ABET accreditation across multiple disciplines — the clearest international evidence for a reviewer.

Pharmacy

Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) holds ACPE accreditation. Cyprus International University (CIU) holds AHPGS accreditation.

Recognition depends on the specific institution and programme, not on North Cyprus as a whole. Before enrolling, confirm the current requirements with the Diploma Recognition Agency under the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, and check the exact accreditation your chosen programme holds on its university profile.
